dstreet is proud to present:Â Midgar 10th Anniversary Showcase ft. Polygonia [DE], OK EG, Severja [DE], Tangela, Command D, Killian
dstreet is combining forces with our dear friends Midgar for a super special summer showcase featuring a whole bunch of friends from near and far in a revamped outdoor warehouse location in the inner west.Â
It’s hard to summarise Midgar’s impact over the past decade, a label that has continued to champion emerging underground voices and push deep, psychedelic and forward thinking music with an approach that is fresh, welcoming and full of life. Founder Jacopo Severitano (aka Severja) bright and positive outlook filters into every aspect of the label from its unique artistic style to the meaningful storytelling put forward by the artists.Â
Polygonia is one of the most exciting names in dance music at the moment and making her debut tour down under. She is a prolific producer, known for her intricate percussion and organic, forest dwelling soundscapes. Her musical palette flows between various shades of groovy, trippy Techno, Breakbeat and Bass Music, tinged with a mystical quality and irresistibly danceable rhythms. The Munich based artist is the the label boss of QEONE and co-founder of IO records. As well as being a resident at Blitz club, she is also plays regularly at Tresor and Berghain. Her performances range from intense body music and emotional interludes to powerful, bass-heavy moments, creating dynamic narratives.
OK EG is the collaborative project of Melbourne-based artists Matthew Wilson and Lauren Squire. The duo is known for their immersive, hardware-based live sets that channel the raw, unpredictable energy of the Melbourne underground. Their newest EP Heatwave released on Midgar is an exploration of techno’s deepest layers. Pulsing with bass-heavy grooves, it’s a trip through refracted techno at it’s most intricate.
Severja of Midgar and Tangela of dstreet are joining forces, weaving together their love of deep trippy soundscapes and wiggly oddities. Their eclectic palettes dipping between dub, breaks, IDM & techno with uplifting and emotive energy.Â
Command D is a rising star and name synonymous with the new wave of Australian electronic music. His productions deep and dubby, ranging from tripped out downtempo to minimal techno. Sounds that echo the natural landscape, organic textures and sun soaked rhythms. His catalogue of releases across iconic Australian labels including Pure Space, Animalia and Body Promise.Â
Killian is a graduate of 2024 FBi Radio Dance Class and although is a fresh face in the scene has hit the ground running, already hosting a full venue takeover at Chinese Laundry and a new radio residency on FBi Radio, presenting a show based around ‘bedroom music’ with mixes from locals including d-grade and Dj Mistry. She has a knack for uncovering local gems and a sensitive refined approach to her curation.Â
