Event description

The Design Thinking eXperiment (DTX) is back for 2025!

The DTX is a FREE 12 hour design thinking course for people in Tauranga and the Western Bay. This is an offering unique to our region, being developed for and by the local innovation community.

The DTX 2025 is led by Clare Swallow, a local legend, expert design thinking practitioner and master facilitator (find out more about Clare at her website https://www.mulberryst.co.nz/).

How it works:

The DTX comprises three four hour sessions (so 12 hours in total), running 10AM to 2PM, on July 16, 21 and 23. You must be able to attend all sessions in full in person. Plus one briefing session on 26 June, 11AM.

You learn design thinking by working on a real project from start to finish. You’ll have the option to choose different types of project to suit your interest, but they will have public good orientation and a real ‘client’ who cares about the result

DTX is an in-person only course, taking place at Priority One (29 Grey St in the city centre).

DTX is free. You need to cover your own costs for coffee, food, transport, parking etc. But there is no charge for course costs and materials - all we ask is that you make each session in full.

Numbers are limited to 25 to ensure quality of experience (and to fit in our venue!)

Sounds great! What do I do now?
