Charles Sturt University is proud to support the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and queer community (LGBTIQA+) by returning as a regional partner for the Queer Screen Film Festival – Best of the Fest. This regional roadshow will feature six of the best and freshest queer films from this year’s festival.

These exclusive screenings featuring queer films from around the globe will be shared with regional audiences and will take place across Charles Sturt University campuses in Port Macquarie, Bathurst and Dubbo across September and October. From heart-warming tales to powerful narratives, our curated selection of short films promises to captivate and inspire. Explore a variety of genres, including drama, comedy, romance, and more, all while celebrating the vibrant and diverse LGBTQ+ community.

To celebrate stories from the queer perspective Charles Sturt University is proud to be the regional partner of the Queer Screen Film Festival highlighting the importance of sharing queer stories with communities outside of the traditional metro audiences. The festival is held Australia-wide and is coming to Wagga Wagga, Port Macquarie, Bathurst & Dubbo for exclusive Best of the Fest screenings for one night only in each location.

Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to discover talented filmmakers and their exceptional storytelling abilities. Whether you identify as LGBTQ+ or simply appreciate outstanding cinema, the Queer Screen Short Film Festival is an event you won't want to miss!
