Embellishment: Infinite Possibilities in the Definition of Self
Event description
On the lands of the Tubba-Gah people of the Wiradjuri nation in Dubbo, join us for an immersive collage of projection, dance, live music and local storytelling artists as we celebrate voices of women in International Women’s Week.Â
Embellishment is a performance developed from the gathering of women’s stories from Dubbo and across regional New South Wales, with a focus on young women. Bring a picnic and watch the sun go down with projections and First Nations dancers outdoors at Dubbo’s arts hub that is Studio 138.Â
Soak up the power of solo actors and musicians and an exploration of how they interconnect, from the comedic to the intensely personal and tragic. Above all the stories celebrate resilience, success and our shared humanity.
Bring a picnic! We will be seated outdoors. In the case of wet weather, we will be inside Studio 138.
