Join Ducks in Trees, The Burley Griffin and Grace Williams in an afternoon of Folk Americana. Why? Cuz watching live music is fun, what else are you going to do on a Sunday?

Let us distract you from the impending week and squeeze the most out of the weekend.

Ducks in Trees is Folk Music brainchild of American CJ Adams, brought to life with friends Bevan and Macca, adding tantalizing acoustic guitar, punchy Banjo, and amazing vocals, to heart-on-their-sleaves songs about sanity, love, distance, and old dreams. The sound of Ducks In Trees bounces between the folk revival scene of the 1970s and the folk rock of 2000s Ho Hey, with musical guests often swelling the ranks to shake things up. Ducks In Trees plays all about Canberra and is looking forward to bringing their unique sound to you.

The Burley Griffin:The Burley Griffin serve up folk-infused Austral-Americana, led by Canberra-based songwriter and frontman, Evan Buckley. Having spent his childhood waiting for the rapture in a strict fundamentalist cult, Buckley’s songs are a poignant reflection on loss of faith, marriage, and certainty, balanced out by the ecstatic freedom found in embracing life’s unpredictability. Live, The Burley Griffin cover a sweeping emotional range - gentle introspection swells into searing crescendos and complex harmonies, often culminating in sing-a-longs and hip-shaking frenzies on the dancefloor. Establishing themselves as an act to keep an eye on, they’ve earned support slots for Australian icons like Mia Dyson and Augie March, and appearances at major festivals including The National Folk Festival and Jindyfest.

Grace Williams is a Canberra-based singer-songwriter with a focus on lyric storytelling that fuses pop, jazz and folk music. A self-described ‘depressed bisexual’, Grace brings a brutally honest, self-reflective approach to her lyricism, exploring the complexities and contradictions of love, friendship, grief and growing independent.
