Super excited to welcome the legendary Manzanita Jr to Glasgow for the first time ever, straight from Peru ! Supported by the amazing Edinburgh based Cumbia band, Los Chichanos.

Manzanita y Su Conjunto - La Leyenda Continúa is led by the son of the late Manzanita, a legendary figure of guitar-driven tropical music of the era, featuring a full band to transport you to a world where criollo guitar crosses with vintage psychedelia."

One of the founding fathers of the electric guitar-driven psychedelic craze of the 60s & 70s, the late Manzanita and his band paved the way for the genre that has taken the global tropical music scene by storm. The heady blend of cumbia and guaracha rhythms and his lightning-fast finger lines carved a niche in the musical landscape. His prodigious son, Berardo Hernández Jr - known as Manzanita Jr - follows in his late father’s footsteps to keep the psychedelic mastery of the era alive, performing regularly across Latin America. In Manzanita’s honour, he brings to the UK direct from Lima for the first time this summer with a full band of top Latin musicians from around the UK. A Latin American selector, based in Glasgow, with Colombian, Guatemalan & Mexican backgrounds. He Holds a wide range of Latin American genres and a special affection towards Cumbia & rare grooves. We're looking forward to welcoming him to the Duende family!

Duende founder will be closing out the party in true Duende fashion with a strong fiery mix of Cumbias, Merengues, Salsas and tropical bass bangers. High energy sweatiness guaranteed!
