Sunday Funday: Dumpling Wines at North Freo

Few cuisines offer the breadth of flavour that Asian cuisine does, making it a very rewarding partner for wine. For our next 'Sunday Funday' we're celebrating these pairings with exceptional wines, premium sake and thoughtfully chosen bites that showcase just how beautifully each component elevates the other.

On the menu we have Albany's finest handcrafted Shaka's Dumplings, a line-up of wines selected specifically for their affinity with Asian flavours, a dedicated Sake Samurai station, a chilli oil station with Rocking Rayu, Pandan-flavoured Portuguese Tarts and nostalgic mini mart snacks. Each piece of the afternoon has been specially chosen to create a tasting experience that's generous, delicious and made for a springtime, Sunday jaunt.

And... you asked, we listened. The People's Choice Award is back. Our tasting stations will go head-to-head once more, and you get to cast the deciding vote for the afternoon. (Bragging rights are very much back on the line!).

Your $30 pre-order ticket includes:

• A serve of Shaka's Dumplings including a prawn toast (or vegetarian steamed bun). Choose from:

  • Chicken dumplings (with ginger and spring onion sauce)

  • Pork and prawn dumplings (with spicy peanut sauce)

  • Veggie dumplings

  • Or a mixed serve .

• A curated selection of wines paired to Asian flavours

• A guided Sake Samurai tasting

• A guided chilli oil tasting

• Take home frozen dumplings (available for purchase) 

• Asian mini mart snacks (available for purchase)
