Dumplings with the Artist | Betty Russ
Description
Join us on Thursday 27 August from 6:30 PM for Dumplings with the Artist, featuring Betty Russ in conversation with Passage Artistic Director Marco Rinaldi.
The evening begins at Passage with drinks on the balcony and an artist talk, followed by dinner at Chinese Noodle Restaurant downstairs. The talk is free and open to all. Dinner and drinks are ticketed at $30 + bf. Vegetarian options are available—please select the vegetarian ticket at checkout.
Tearing Field is an immersive installation in which water, air, plants and sculptural forms circulate within a sealed system. A shallow pool, fountain and network of transparent tubes transform Passage into a shifting environment that feels at once bodily, mechanical and alive.
Betty Russ creates sculptural installations that explore ecological systems, material transformation and the unstable boundaries between natural and constructed environments. Her work brings organic matter into contact with industrial materials and technological processes, producing environments that evolve throughout their presentation.
