Life after prostate cancer treatment can be challenging, with possible side effects affecting aspects of one’s life including self-esteem and personal relationships. These side effects will vary from person to person and may include erectile dysfunction and incontinence. Alistair Hepburn is a Consultant Urologist, Dunedin Public Hospital, a Visiting Consultant Mercy Hospital (Dunedin), and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer, University of Otago. He is also Training Supervisor of Urology, Southern Health | He hauora, he kuru pounamu (formerly Southern DHB), and a member of the Training and Education Board NZ section of Urological Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ). Alistair has specialist interests in uro-oncology, endourology and prosthetic urology, and the management of erectile dysfunction.
