Event description

Ever wondered what it’s like to run your own epic fantasy adventure?

In this workshop you’ll learn the pillars of being a Dungeon Master — the storyteller and world-builder of Dungeons and Dragons!

We’ll cover:

  • the basics of creating exciting quests

  • bringing characters and creatures to life

  • making the game fun and fair for everyone at the table.

No experience with Dungeons & Dragons is needed — just bring your imagination and a love of stories.

This workshop is for 12-17 year olds.

About the facilitators

Steph is an experienced Dungeon Master with over 10 years experience running Dungeons and Dragons games. With a passion for storytelling and worldbuilding, they love to help new people discover the wonderful world of D&D and TTRPGs! Steph works at Mornington Peninsula Shire library as a Library Technology and Digital Literacy Officer.

Jordan is a youth worker for Mornington Peninsula Youth Services. He runs weekly Dungeons and Dragons groups for young people at Shed 11 Youth Hub in Hastings. Jordan came up with the idea for this workshop after seeing how popular D&D is with young people. He wants young people to have the opportunity to build their skills and lead their own groups.
