Dust & Diamonds - High Tea
Description
Dust & Diamonds – A 1930s Western Art Deco Journey
Saddle up and step back in time – but not the time you think you know. While the flappers were dancing and the jazz was swinging, another world was alive with dust, diamonds, and the howl of the open range. Dust & Diamonds is a captivating live performance that tears open a forgotten chapter of the Art Deco era, weaving together beloved songs and jaw-dropping stories that will make you question everything you thought you knew about the 1930s. No lasso required, cowboy hat optional.
This is a wild ride through an era where Cole Porter rubbed shoulders with cowboys, where songs you've known your entire life were born somewhere between a cattle stampede and a sky full of stars – and while the world was gazing up in wonder at the Empire State Building, the pioneers were out there rounding up the steers and singing their hearts out around the campfire. Leave your spurs at the door and yodelling strictly at your own risk.
Complemented by a lavish high tea prepared by the Leeton JumpStart Fund, this unique event pairs rich storytelling and live music with an indulgent afternoon tea experience.
A festival favourite held at the charming Yanco Agricultural Institute Recreation Hall – where stories, sweets, and song come together in perfect harmony.
NB: Whilst all efforts will be made to cater to any indicated dietary requirements, the service of food will not be made in a completely gluten-free environment.
