Off the back of Europeโs festival circuit and his Indonesian debut for Boiler Room, Dutty and Crown Ruler join forces to bring the maestro of deconstructed club music down under: DJ N Fox.
The Angolan-born Lisbon-based DJ and producer has breathed new life into Portugalโs contemporary sound. Informed by freethought and the Afro-Lusophone diaspora, DJ N Foxโs sets masterfully wield together local kuduro and batida with Afro-house, garage and electro into an idiosyncratic and unusual sound - making it all the more exciting for dancefloors. Witnessing a DJ N Fox set means succumbing to a psychotropic state and letting your body be guided by the avant-garde, where his penchant for syncopated drumming and exalting polyrhythms shines right through.
Joining him on July 30th at The Rechabite Basement are local DJโsย Jxnior,ย Yikesย and Sepsi B2B Nafta, as well as Naarm-based C.FRIM.ย
IMPORTANT: If you are non-Afro-Black, please refer to the artist as DJ N FOX.

Dutty and Crown Ruler would like to acknowledge that this event and all of the work that we undertake occurs on stolen land. Weโd like to acknowledge the Whadjuk Noongar people of the Bibbulmun nation asย the traditional custodians of this land. We pay respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and acknowledge their ongoing efforts in resistance against colonialism since 1788. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
