Community Sit: Generosity and the Meaning of Merit: An Afternoon of Practice and Service with Jamie Roberts
Description
Step away from the dhukkha of Black Friday weekend to connect with Dhamma friends for a warm afternoon of practice, service and comradery.
During our time together, we will meditate, reflect on what it means to offer dana and to make merit and participate as a community on a project to benefit Philadelphians experiencing housing insecurity.
As a community, we will assemble dignity packs filled with hygiene supplies and snacks. We will also have the optional opportunity to donate and organize gently used clothes suitable for job interviews and other critical appointments. Please check this page again for more details in the weeks preceding our gathering.
