These two elements have played a central role in my practice as a textile and visual artist. I'm excited to show you how versatile rust and tannin applications can be. In this workshop you will learn:

How to prepare your fabrics prior to printing and dyeing
What is rust and tannin and how do they interact with each other
Printing with rust
Dyeing with rust
Ecoprinting with iron mordanted cloth
Tannin application in dyeing and ecoprinting

The ingredients used in this workshop are naturally derived and non-toxic.

All materials will be provided. Please bring with you:

enclosed nonslip footwear
2 old towels
gloves
mask
your own water and refreshment
