Join us under the trees at Kangaroo Valley Cemetery to listen up to Aunty Loretta Parsley and Shanna Provost as they share their lived history and decades of experience in woking on End of Life choices within local Aboriginal Community. Amy Sagar from Tender Funerals will join us to share her organisations accumulated knowledge, working strongly within Community.

Traditional practices strengthen Culture and Community, but many of these ways have had to take a backseat. Whilst the importance of Sorry Business might be understood by the wider community in connection with Aboriginal Community, the current legislation and expense governing End of Life add much to the burden of colonisation carried by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Communities.

With NSW Government having just invested in enhancing culturally sensitive end of life care options here on the south coast including support for Waminda, there may be light on the horizon.
