Dykadellic turns three. But does it feel like three years? Or longer? It feels like we've been friends forever.

Three years ago this thing started as a slightly ambitious idea between queers who wanted a dance floor for the femmes and thems that felt hot, welcoming, and just for us. We thought maybe a few people would come, but you showed up and you kept coming back. We made a chandelier out of soccer balls and wings made out of lesbian erotica. It kind of set the tone.

Now here we are.

For our third birthday we’re entering the third dimension.

Depth perception.
Parallel universes.

Dress theme? Interpret “3D” however your beautiful brain wants. Futuristic cyber dyke? Human anaglyph graphic? Third eye oracle? Yourself from another dimension? Or just wear a white tee and let the lighting do the heavy lifting.

This one’s for the people who’ve kissed in the smoking area. The people who made best friends in the bathroom queue. The couples who met at Dykadellic and now stand off to the side holding hands while pretending they “don’t really dance”. The regulars. The first-timers. The lesbians who accidentally stayed until close even though they said they’d “just pop in for one”.

Expect a dance floor that feels slightly unreal. Strange little details. Questionable visual decisions. Possibly portals. Definitely bass.

Three years of Dykadellic.
Still here.
Still queer.
