Dysfunctional Family Jukebox
Event description
Freddie used to think she had a normal family. But now she’s letting the skeletons (& herself!) out of the closet.
Through dark comedy and the weirdest songs you’ve ever heard, Freddie will reveal her family’s deepest secrets. Come meet Mum, the homophobic lesbian; Dad, the violent hopeless romantic; and Cousin Mike, the public masturbator.
The all-original track-list includes “I Know I’m A Good Mother Because My Children Aren’t Gay” and “Smacking My Kids”. If you’ve ever wanted to feel better about your own relations, come meet Freddie’s Dysfunctional Family Jukebox.
Freddie is a comedian, MC and born-again bisexual who first tried stand up as an OCD exposure therapy exercise. Originally from Mildura, she is now based in Melbourne. She has performed in Edinburgh, London and on the Bendigo Comedy Festival Gala Show, alongside Urvi Majumdar and Geraldine Hickey.
“Clearly established comedic brand that mixe[s] cheery positivity with slightly unsettling subject material.” – Hugging Comedians
“A quietly unhinged onstage presence, so keen to see what Freddie does next” – Scout Boxall
