This is an online 90 minute interactive course. Support workers will gain the skills to identify swallowing difficulties in the people they support and safely manage these following a mealtime support plan. Information presented is consistent with the training required to meet the NDIS Mealtime Management and Severe Dysphagia Management quality standard.

Content will cover:

Normal swallowing.
Signs of swallowing difficulties
Support strategies to manage swallowing difficulties
Texture modification.
Escalation of care

Participants will be able to ask questions. The course will be available in recorded form for 2 weeks post presentation.
