    Event description

Explore effective strategies for working with learners with dyspraxia/Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD).

    Workshop outline

This workshop is offered by Ako Aotearoa in partnership with the Dyspraxia Support Group of NZ.

Developmental Dyspraxia/Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD) is a neurological condition which is often misunderstood. It can present in a similar way to other types of neurodiversity, but has a different basis and underlying cause. In this workshop we will look at what may be happening in the brain of your learner with dyspraxia/DCD and explore ways you can support these learners so everyone has a better experience in your teaching and learning space.

    Topics covered

    • What is dyspraxia/DCD?
    • What it might look like in your learner?
    • What you can do to help?
