LOVE GENERATOR ♡ w/ Tama Sumo + Lakuti (Panorama Bar/Berlin)
Event description
We're absolutely delighted to bring back two glimmering pearls of our dance histories here—the infectious, warm and immensely soulful pairing of Tama Sumo & Lakuti. Two beloved residents of the famed Panorama Bar who have dedicated their entire lives to making people move, dance and feel into their most natural inclinations. This is a rare Monday family party, an afternoon of emotive dance and shared movement—a love generator.
Tama Sumo has been based in Berlin for 30+ years, and has held residencies in many of its cultural institutions since the mid-90s; Drama, Tresor, Ostgut and Panorama Bar. Her sound is expansive, diverse and warm; with shades of Detroit house, disco, afrobeat, broken beats and acid finding their way into her sets.
Lakuti’s roots are in Johannesburg, where their emergent rave experiences were intertwined with the end of apartheid. They were then based in London for 15 years and these days can be found in Berlin. Their sound oozes with soul and love, weaving through deep house, disco and Afro sounds.Tama Sumo and Lakuti are an absolutely dynamic power couple, and we’re excited to feel their soulful approach.
Sharing in the love and rhythms, we've a stacked local lineup; an afternoon-into-eve of uninhibited dancefloor pleasures.

We acknowledge that everything that happens here takes place on the unceded sovereign lands of the Turrbal and Yuggera Peoples—they were the first storytellers, dancers & musicians here, and their ongoing connection to these lands, waters and elements are the foundations upon which we build and nurture collective futures. We offer our respect to Elders past and present, and recognise that we can only honour them by leading a life of social disruption and equalisation.
