Event description
The event will open on the 5th of March with a live music and open bar exhibition of wearable art from 7pm to 11pm at the Victorian Artist Society in East Melbourne. Everyone is invited and encourage to come meet fashion designers whose work promote the environment and social responsibility.
About the event organiser:
Jaya Prisco is a 25yo producer and stylist from Milan, Italy who moved to Melbourne 5 years ago. After graduating from a sociology degree in June 2021 she found a way to combine her interest for sociology and passion for fashion. Inspired and motivated by the social chaos and global obscenities happening around her, she decided to create an online magazine that addresses those obscenities through fashion and poetry. During lock down at the end of 2021, she created e.g.o. magazine. With the collaboration of sustainable and slow fashion designers, she has combined styling and photography to create a narrative and expose social dilemmas. The intention was to create a magazine that uses fashion and beauty not just for its mere aesthetic appearance, but as a tool for spreading social awareness on striking issues.
