E3 Bundaberg Ecosystem - Future of Food Design Challenge Fun!
Event description
Bundaberg has one of the strongest entrepreneurial education ecosystems in Australia with engaged industry, council, educators, students, community and alumni. Let's make it even better by strengthening our relationships, getting more members, and solving future of food challenges!Â
What better way to do it than a 90 minute Future of Food Design Challenge designed and facilitated by Young Change Agents; Educator in Residence, Renae Jones and Program and Indigenous Engagement Lead, Tiffani Season. The event is kindly hosted by Nicole Amey at Kepnock State High School.Â
You will have the chance to work together on solving pressing issues for the Bundaberg Region and Australia whilst having a great time and working in teams!Â
You will be immersed in a Young Change Agents Youth Design Challenge.Â
Challenges for the night include:Â
- Food and Health: How might we provide healthier options and better access to healthy food?
- Connection and Joy through Food: How might we use food to create connection and joy in our lives?
- Food Sustainability: How might we make sure there's enough healthy food for the future by making food production and consumption more sustainable?
- Food and Technology: How might we utilise technology to encourage and enable healthy food futures for all Australians?
- Regional and Rural Food Growth and Production: How might we improve the lives of farming families & communities?
- Native Food & Agriculture: How might we integrate culture and traditional practices into our food systems to encourage connection to culture through sustainable production & consumption?
Don't worry about solving them now!Â
Young Change Agents will take you through a process to get to amazing ideas and help you and your team feel comfortable presenting them.Â
We want you; Industry, Council, Educators, Students, and Community.Â
Arrive at 4pm for a 4:15pm kick off! Finished by 6pm
PLUS FOR EDUCATORS:Â
Educators can then access the resources to run this challenge with their students over the term or as an incursion with national prizes and awards for students who enter and become finalists in the challenge. Attending this E3 event will allow you to be immersed in a Young Change Agents Youth Design Challenge which you can then deliver within your school. Young Change Agents provides the resources, facilitator guides, curriculum, and support needed to embed this program.
