Every Australian Counts Community Forum - NDIS Cuts: What’s at risk and what we do next

The Government wants to make serious cuts and changes to our NDIS. 

Since the announcement, more details have started to emerge and many in our community are deeply concerned.

We are facing possibility of:

• 160,000 people to be removed from the NDIS

• Massive cuts to supports, including social and community participation

• Being forced to use registered providers and taking away the key NDIS principles of choice and control for NDIS participants.

There are also serious concerns about how quickly these changes could move, with legislation expected as soon as the Federal Budget and limited time for scrutiny.

This is about people’s lives, supports, and futures.

• Share what we know and what is still unclear

• Talk honestly about what is at risk

• Create space for community voices and questions

• Discuss what action we can take together
