Each Child a Light at Arcola Theatre

Each Child a Light is a participatory arts initiative creating a quilt in memory of the children killed in Gaza.

We invite you to join us at the Arcola Theatre for a creative workshop to design and make a square to be included in the quilt. On completion, your squares will be stitched into an expanding collection of panels created by hundreds of people of all ages, backgrounds and levels of experience, including artists, crafters, activists; community and faith groups; children and students, your contributions adding to this growing testament to the lives of Gaza's children.

Together we will remember.

All materials and practical guidance provided. *Please arrive promptly.

All workshop ticket sales are donated to Hope and Play – a children’s charity with connections on the ground in Gaza, offering financial support to families and play therapy to traumatised children.

Presented in partnership with Good Chance during the run of their new production A Grain of Sand at the Arcola from 21-31 January 2026.

There is a matinee performance scheduled for 3pm on Saturday 24th, immediately following the workshop.
