Hamilton's Mushrooms Presents: Eagle Mushroom and Wild Food Festival 2026
Description
Hamilton's Mushrooms Presents: Eagle Mushroom & Wild Food Festival 2026 August 21β23 | Brush Creek Pavilion | Eagle, Colorado
Nestled in the White River National Forest, the Eagle Mushroom & Wild Food Festival brings together foragers, scientists, chefs, mushroom lovers, and curious minds for three days of hands-on learning, wild food exploration, and community.
Whether you're a seasoned mycologist or picking up your first field guide, EMF2026 offers something rare: direct access to world-class experts in a spectacular mountain setting. Join guided forays through alpine terrain with leading foragers from across the country, attend Pecha Kucha talks on fungal biodiversity, myco-forestry, medicinal mushroom testing, and psilocybin science, and get hands-on in workshops covering mushroom cultivation, wild fermentation, and field-to-table cooking.
This year's lineup includes keynote speaker John Michelotti, Martha Montemayor, six Pecha Kucha presentations pushing the frontier of fungal science, a FREE MUSHROOM ID TABLE, a mushroom cooking demonstration from a Vail Valley executive chef, a cooking class, and a hands-on fermentation workshop, cultivation workshop, koji extractions demo + SO MUSH MORE!
The festival closes Sunday evening with a community pizza party and keynote from Hamilton Pevec, founder of Hamilton's Mushrooms, host of EMF, and President of the Western Colorado Mycological Association.

BEFORE YOU BUY - TICKET INSTRUCTIONS
There are two ways to attend: buy a weekend pass (General Admission or VIP), or skip the pass and buy just the individual events you want. Read this before you check out β a few items on the ticket page are easy to misread, and we don't want you to pay twice for something or think you got a free foray by accident.

The short version: GA gets you the whole festival program (talks, workshops, Pecha Kucha, pizza party) but not forays, the Wild Sage dinner, or the cooking class. VIP gets you everything GA gets you, plus the forays and the Wild Sage dinner. Nobody's pass includes the cooking class β that's always separate.
Step 2: If you bought VIP β one more step, don't skip it
Buying the VIP pass does not automatically register you for your foray day or the Wild Sage dinner. You have to claim them:
On the ticket page, find the "Discount or access code" box near the top.
Enter the code: VIP-FORAY-DINNER
This unlocks free registration for your foray (choose Saturday or Sunday) and the Wild Sage Culinary Experience.
If you skip this step, you've paid for VIP but you won't actually be signed up for the foray or the dinner β you have to enter the code to claim them.
Step 3: If you bought GA β what to add if you want it
Your GA pass does not include forays, the Wild Sage dinner, or the cooking class. If you want any of these, add them separately at full price:
Guided Foray β $80/person, per day (choose Saturday or Sunday)
Wild Sage Culinary Experience β $250 (Saturday, 5:00β6:45 PM)
Cooking Class with Allana Smith β $120 (Saturday, 9:30 AMβ12:00 PM, only 12 seats)
There is no discount code for GA holders on these β the VIP-FORAY-DINNER code only works if you bought VIP.
Two things that trip people up at checkout
1. The Foray ticket shows up as "Free." That's not a mistake in your favor β forays are $80/person. The listing shows "Free" because you pick your actual date (Saturday or Sunday) and pay on the next screen. If you check out seeing "$0.00" for the foray line, you have not actually gotten a free foray β you still need to select your day and pay the $80.
2. The single Keynote ticket also shows up as "Free." Same idea β if you already have a GA or VIP pass, keynotes are already included and you don't need to buy this ticket at all. If you don't have a pass and just want to attend one keynote talk, it's $20 per night, and you choose Friday/Saturday/Sunday on the next screen.
Bottom line: if you already have a GA or VIP pass, do not also buy the individual $30 workshop tickets, the $20 Pecha Kucha ticket, the $20 pizza party ticket, or the $20 single-keynote ticket β those are already part of your pass. You'd just be paying twice. Instead, register for those (free) as your pass indicates β workshops especially require you to reserve a seat since space is limited to 15 people each.
One more tip
When you check out, each ticket type has a box asking if you want event emails β check it. That's how we send you your foray meeting point, schedule changes, and other logistics. If you skip it, you may miss information you need to actually show up to your event.
