Down Syndrome NSW invites you to join this free workshop presented by Lifestart.

Join Cindy Liew, Senior Speech Pathologist at Lifestart, for a practical session for parents and carers of children aged 6 months to 5 years. Learn how to build your child's communication skills during everyday activities such as play, mealtimes, bath time, and book sharing.

In this workshop, you will learn:

• How communication skills develop in young children

• Why daily routines provide natural opportunities for learning communication skills

• Strategies to encourage your child to communicate during play and everyday activities

• How to use visuals and simple language to support understanding

• Ways to create more back-and-forth interactions with your child

• Practical ideas you can use at home straight away

Families will also receive a Home Plan Tool to help put these strategies into practice as part of their daily routines.
