Dr Steve Heath will be presenting to Guildford Grammar School parents on the topic of learning to read and early literacy acquisition.
Steve is a highly regarded and very experienced clinical, educational and developmental psychologist and literacy researcher. She has been working with the Preparatory School Staff for a number of years in developing their understanding of how children learn to read and current research to support and ensure best practice when teaching reading. Her presentation will be a brief review of what we know from research about how young children can best be helped to build strong reading and writing skills.
