With dry conditions continuing across the region, early weaning may be an effective management strategy to help reduce nutritional pressure on breeding females, improve herd and flock management, and maintain livestock performance during challenging seasonal conditions.

This workshop will provide producers with valuable information on when and how to implement early weaning, nutritional requirements for young stock, animal welfare considerations, and management strategies to support successful outcomes. Attendees will hear from industry professionals and have the opportunity to discuss how early weaning could fit within their own enterprise.

Whether you are considering early weaning for the first time or looking to refine your current approach, this session will provide useful guidance to help you make informed decisions this season.

We encourage producers, livestock managers and industry professionals to attend.
