Early Years Community of Practice, Courageous Conversations: partnering with families to support child development

We invite you to our Early Years Community of Practice FREE event. Tuesday 14 May from 3:30 to 5:30pm at the Holt Holt Neighbourhood Hall, 72 Beaurepaire Cres Holt. 


Join Stephanie Johnston, Community Capacity Building Lead from EACH for a discussion and information sharing about: 

    • Developmental milestones from birth to five years​.
    • Understanding developmental delay and disability.
    • Strategies to build stronger relationships with families.
    • Tips to effectively communicate concerns with families.
    • Where to seek support.

    Stephanie has been working with children and families for 16 years and has a background in primary school teaching, counselling, and community development.

    Proudly supported by Village partners including Capital Region Community Service (CRCS) and EACH (NDIS partner delivering the Early Childhood Approach).

    This session has been designed for early childhood educators and teachers; however, all Early Years CoP members are welcome to attend.

    The Early Years Community of Practice supports early years practitioners across the ECEC, education and health sectors to regularly come together to hear from relevant topic experts and share their understanding and knowledge of the current issues in areas of relating to the early years. It aims to blend individual and collective learning through the development of a shared practice. Resulting in improved understanding, practice and connection, leading to better outcomes in the ACT for children and families in the early years.
