Bondi Beach Cleanup 2nd October
Event description
Bondi Beach Cleanup Ramp 1
We meet once a month to tidy up a section of the beach, and try to responsibly dispose of the waste. Want to join a group where others care about the environment and community. Then come join us!
How did we start?
This monthly Beach cleanup started after the massive swell with the waves covering the whole beach and bringing rubbish and microplastics onto the beach. It started with a lady on the beach with a sieve in her hand and she was separating the microplastics from the sand. This became a few people joining, then an organised beach cleanup and another and then became a monthly event. Now, to bring a little bit of fun to it, we have a challenge checklist to bring a little twist to the activities.
Make sure to sign up so we can send the checklist to you and to know which Ramp we will meet at. Each month we rotate which ramp so that we ensure all of the beach gets regular cleaning.
A little a bit about Earth Child
Charlotte, the founder of Earth Child, has worked with children for over 14 years, within that time she has been sharing nature connection skills, self-sufficiency, and environmental conservation skills with children and their families. She is passionate about community and hopes that the monthly beach cleanups can inspire more people to look after nature in the day to day life.
We look forward to seeing you there!
