BUSH TUCKER WALK & YARN - Saturday 10:00am & 11:00am (2 sessions)

Come along and enjoy a tour around Peregian Beach with the funny and extremely knowledgeable Lyndon Davis, traditional Custodian and representative of the local Gubbi Gubbi/Kabi Kabi people. Lyndon is an artist, educator and cultural performer. Raised on the Sunshine Coast by his grandmother, Lyndon's guided tour represents his deep connection to country and depicts stories of his region's flora and fauna and creation stories.

SUNDAY WORKSHOP -

Eco Printing Workshop - Sunday 9:00am - 12:00pm - Sunshine Coast Natural Dyers Group

Explore the drop-in interactive eco printing demo on Saturday, then return for an intensive workshop on Sunday!
Nothing quite tops the feeling of anticipation and excitement when unbundling your first leaf printed eco bundle to reveal what you and nature have created together. This 3 hour workshop will give you the basic knowledge you need to be able to play with this technique at home. Some of the topics covered - Fabric choice and preparation, plant foraging, leaves and flowers suitable for eco printing, the dirty pot method versus steaming, design composition. You will have the opportunity to create several prints, including on paper to take home.
