The first of its kind in the region, these intimate freeform dance sessions (happening each second Thursday from 8-10pm) set a new standard for ethical, transformational dance experiences where passionate free spirits attune to the frequency and rhythms of the earth.

Electric Forest has been around creating legendary cutting edge dance events since 1996 and is the longest running dance music production hub in the Byron Bay region. Electric Forest events create an unique transformational atmosphere where radical self expression, freedom and personal journeys can meld into a positive life-affirming experience through dance.

Music is key to our relationship with the world we live in and electronic music has held the key to progressive emergence and evolution of a new consciousness for many decades.

PsyPhi

PsyPhi is the progressive tech project from the founder of the organisation/label Electric Forest.

Since creating Electric Forest in 1994, MK-Ultra was the main psytrance project with two album releases: MK-Ultra and Transpersonal in 2001 and 2006

Diversifying into live electronica, progressive techno and deep groove based electronica, PsyPhi carefully crafts alternative beatscapes melding influences from the dawn of electronic music to the cutting edge productions of now. Playing at, creating and managing countless events and festivals over the last twenty five years in the hills and valleys of Byron Bay and Northern New South Wales under the banner of Electric Forest Productions since 1999 including: Exodus Festival, The Dawning Festival, Earth Frequency Festival, Free Spirit Festival, Future Frequency, MATRIX, Secret Creatures, ::UNIFY::, Bizarre Garden Festival, Earthdance Byron as well as organising the legendary summer solstice and equinox cyber-tribal gatherings and famous castle events: Dusk 'til Dawn, ::DUSK::, The Castle Masque Lovemasque, Temple Fantasy to name a few ..

PsyPhi is currently producing and DJ'ing a genre fusion style of Tech and Progressive House music with Latin, Afro and Tribal influences creating a brand new sound with the Tantric House label using an eclectic studio packed with vintage analogue and state of the art digital synthesisers and FX . Combining real time keyboard skills with loops, beats and cutting edge tracks mixed with the latest DJ software, PsyPhi's DJ sets are always fresh and dynamic drawing on a carefully curated collection of some of the most cutting edge electronic dance tracks available.
