Earth Harmony: Sound Healing and TCM Self-Massage

Join us for a transformative sound healing experience centered around the Earth Element. In many indigenous cultures, Mother Earth is seen as the creator of all life. The land is imbued with spirit and connected to ancestral beings and everything—plants, animals, humans—is interconnected through the Earth. The Earth is the source of nourishment, healing, and wisdom. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Earth is linked to the Spleen and Stomach, governing the digestive system, the foundation of our vitality and well-being.

In this unique session, we will guide you through a series of self-care practices and powerful sound healing designed to harmonise and strengthen your connection to Earth energy.

What to Expect:

TCM Self-Massage Techniques:
Learn specific TCM self-massage practices to work on the Spleen and Stomach channels, as well as the Conception channel. These techniques are designed to improve digestion, enhance overall gut health, as well as to balance and centre one's energy.
Qigong and Yoga:
Discover simple yet effective qigong and yoga movements that activate the digestive fire in the solar plexus, helping to alleviate issues such as bloating, constipation and diarrhea. These movements work in harmony with the body’s natural energy to support smooth digestion and absorption of nutrients.
Sound Healing Journey:
Relax and rejuvenate as you are bathed in healing sounds from the gong, handpan, Native American flute, chimes, and the shamanic medicine drum. These instruments invoke the grounding and nourishing qualities of the Earth element, promoting balance, stability, and inner peace.

📍 Location: OWN Newtown Wellness Centre (8-10 Victoria St, Newtown NSW 2042). Street parking and limited on-site parking available.

What to Bring:

Comfortable clothing.
Water bottle.
Yoga mats are provided. OPTIONAL: your own yoga, eye mask, pillow, and blanket for extra comfort during sound healing (limited number of these items are available to borrow but please feel free to bring your own).

Facilitators:

Sat Ajeet is a Kundalini yoga teacher with a background in Hatha yoga and meditation. She plays the gong, or more accurately, the gong plays through her as she connects with the energy of the people who are receiving the gong sound healing.
Anisha is a sound healer, qigong practitioner, educator, and student of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Native American healing practices. She plays the hand pan, medicine drum, Native American flute, ukulele and Guzheng, and sings spiritual songs.
