Earth and Form - exhibition opening

As part of the North Coast Ceramics Mud Trail, Ninbella in Bangalow, will host an exhibition opening featuring selected works by Mud Trail Artists Lorraine Dean and Victoria Keesing.

The exhibition offers an opportunity to experience a small collection of contemporary ceramic works alongside the open studios and workshops taking place across the Northern Rivers during the Mud Trail weekend.

Guests are invited to meet the artists, explore the exhibition space and enjoy an evening of ceramics, conversation and community.

Exhibition Dates: Thursday 13th to Saturday 29th August

Ceramic Exhibition Opening: Friday 21st August, 4.30 pm to 7.30 pm

Light refreshments available.

Registrations are encouraged for the opening event.

About the Artists

Both artists live and work on Bundjalung Country. Lorraine creates sculptural vessels in porcelain and black clay that draw on the language of textiles and the handmade. Moving between larger statement pieces and intimate works, her practice explores fragility, connection and the quiet presence held within material and form.   

Victoria’s ceramic practice draws from both the natural environment and the built world. Through layered surfaces, organic textures, and colour, her work explores the intersection of sea, land, memory and belonging - reflecting the shifting landscapes and quiet traces of place that shape us.
