A US foreign policy reporter, Abby Martin, and her Iraq veteran husband turn their sights on the hidden impact that the US military has on the planet, after the birth of their first child created them anxiety about the climate crisis.  Their investigation exposes a secretive and constantly-expanding web of pollution, cover-ups and unaccountability by the world’s biggest polluter.

The film, Earth’s Greatest Enemy, reveals a hidden truth behind global heating: the role of the US Military as the world’s largest institutional polluter, tracing the link between war, empire, and ecological destruction.

Australia's involvement with the erratic US regime of Donald Trump makes us less safe, not more. The dying American empire is threatening war against our biggest trading partner, China, whose regime has not actually threatened other countries at any time this century - certainly not in the way that Trump has threatened Greenland, Venezuela, Cuba, Iran, and even Canada. We are paying multiple $Billions to the American Military Industrial Complex, via Scott Morrison's AUKUS, yet we may never get their submarines - equipment we don't need for our defence anyway. If we ever do get what we are paying for then we will have to manage the high level nuclear waste virtually forever. Australia has already paid at least $4Billion to each of the UK and US submarine building programs, and may yet pay more than $368 Billion over the next 30 years.
