    Event description

Join Helen from Earthstar Magic and Nicki from Sacred Rhythms Wellbeing for this one-and-a-half-day workshop where you will birth your own Medicine Drum in sacred ceremony.

We will be gathering at the beautiful Mount Egerton Recreation Reserve, nestled at the edge of the forest on Wadawurrung Country.ย Arrive at 1pm on Saturday 18th May with an hour to set up camp and settle into the space before the workshop begins at 2pm.

Evening meal on Saturday and lunch on Sunday provided, along with morning & afternoon tea. Please bring along your own breakfast for Sunday, plus any additional snacks you may require. There is a fridge and you are welcome to use the kitchen at any point during our gathering.

On Saturday evening, after our shared meal, we look forward to sharing stories and songs around the fire.

Sunday is a full day or ceremony and weaving your drum. Please bring along your own breakfast, we will gather in circle at 9am and will close at 5pm. Lunch, morning & afternoon tea are provided.

This location has plenty of room for camping, plus a large indoor area heated with a wood stove and a communal kitchen, toilets & a shower. Situated on the edge of the forest with easy access to bushwalking and nature connection.ย Black Cockatoo so present in this area, ready to weave their magic through our weekend.

For those not keen on camping, accommodation can be found nearby in the town of Gordon, or further afield in Ballarat at your own cost. If you are local to the area you are welcome to sleep at home on Friday night and rejoin the group at 8:30am on Sunday morning. We would love for participants to camp with us and stay in the energy of the container. Please note, there is an undercover area where we can pitch tents if the weather is wet, and space for an outdoor fire.

We will be working with your birth imprint in this workshop - the story of how you came to be in this world and how that shows up in creative process, and in your relationship to 'other'.

Birthing your own drum is a deep experience. By approaching the process with awareness and intention you will not only craft yourself a personalised shamanic tool, you will also have a shamanic experience, connecting with the animal of the hide you are using, the wood of the frame and observing the way you show up during the creative process.
