Event description

Join Lemlem and Elsa to learn the skills to weave objects using natural materials to create baskets which can be used in the home for fruit, bread, jewellery or any kind of household item. 

Lemlem Atakilt Yigzaw and Elsa Gebremedhin are artists from Ethiopia and Eritrea respectively. They relocated to Australia in search of a better lifestyle for themselves and their families. Lemlem and Elsa are experienced weavers who have taught a number of workshops in the Hobart area and shown their work at Salamanca Arts Centre.
