Hi @FirstName

Thank you for registering and we look forward to welcoming you tomorrow!

at the first ever….

East Auckland Dog Walk & Connect as part of East Auckland Tourisms - Autumn WalkFest

Macleans Park

25 April 2026 at 3pm

Where to Meet?

We’ll be meeting at the Eastern Beach carpark, located at the end of the esplanade (right‑hand end of the beach).

When you arrive, look for the two vans with our logos — Dave’s Raw Dog Food and K9 Trickstas — parked in the carpark.

Please park your vehicle and head to the A‑frame sign for the East Auckland Dog Walk & Connect.

Your hosts will be there ready to welcome you and your dog.

Running late, or finding it hard to locate us? Give Heather a call on 021 491 788

What to wear & bring?

Collar and/or harness with registration tag
Covered, sturdy shoes (good walking shoes you won’t mind getting muddy if it rains)
Water bottle
Poo bags
Treats
A positive, supportive attitude — ready to connect, learn, and enjoy the walk with your dog

Should it rain? The walk will still proceed – with recommendation to come prepared for walking in the rain with your dog.

For extreme weather days we will postpone

Managing your dog around other dogs?

The Golden Rule: Not all dogs want to make friends with other dogs. Always ask the owner and also observe both dogs’ body language before letting your dog approach another.

Body language: Watch for a stiff body, raised hackles, a hard stare, or pinned ears.
Leash handling: Manage your dog’s leash carefully to prevent tangles and maintain control.
Safe distance: If your dog gets over-excited or nervous, increase your distance from them until your dog calms down

Your Trainers & Hosts

Stay Connected Beyond Walk

This event isn’t just about our dogs — it’s about building connections with fellow dog owners in East Auckland and enjoying the amazing walks our area has to offer.

To help keep the community going, we’ve created a Facebook group for all attendees. It’s a place to:

Share your photos from today
Recommend new walks you and your dog discover
Ask questions, swap tips, and stay connected
Hear about future Dog Walk & Connect events first

We’d love for you to join us and continue the conversation long after the walk ends.
