Event description

The Rotary Club of Mitchell River, Bairnsdale is hosting the first East Gippsland Makers' Festival at the Bairnsdale Racecourse on the 30th of March, Easter Saturday, 2024. The festival will bring together artisans and makers to showcase their skills, offer demonstrations and to provide opportunities to purchase their wares.

Modelled on the concept of a Lost Trades Fair, the Makers' Festival will showcase a range of talented artisans who either work in the lost trades or newly emerging arts and crafts. Live music and free entertainment for children will be running throughout the day along with a range of demonstrations featuring lantern making, upholstery, cider making, sewing, spinning and lots more. 

A range of food options will be available along with delicious coffee and cold drinks too. 

Funds raised from the Festival will go towards the Bairnsdale Neighbourhood House Rebuild Project.
