East Meets West Concert 2026

Join the Australia-Japan Society and Embassy of Japan in Australia for a celebration of the Australia-Japan friendship through music.

This year we are once again joined by Aiko Goto of the Australian Chamber Orchestra on violin, alongside Sally Walker (violin) and Jojo Yuen (piano).

Programme:

Yoshi, a diplomat, will welcome guests with a piano performance from 5:20pm

1. Ibert Deux - Interludes for Flute, Violin, and Piano

2. Michel Blavet - Sonata Op.1, No.1 Flute and Violin duo

3. Franz Schubert - Violin and Piano Sonata in D

4. Franz Doppler - Andante and Rondo Op.25 for Flute, Violin, and Piano

Light refreshments will kindly be provided by the Embassy of Japan following the performance.

All proceeds of this charity concert will go towards the Kumamoto Earthquake Recovery.
