Event description

*Meet at 7 am at the Western end of Matagarup Bridge*

October is Bike Month and East Perth is blessed with some gorgeous bike routes so lets get out and enjoy them! We’ll meet at the Western end of Matagarup Bridge and head off for a gentle 45 minute bike ride along the river paths. The ride will be led by qualified ride leader and East Perth Community Group volunteer Shirley Vine.

Then we’ll ride to Perth City Farm where volunteer Ken Okamitsu will share his bike skills and talk about what he usually checks before he rides, give some instructions on basic bike maintenance and answer your questions. Farmology café will be open for coffee and breakfast.

This fun event is perfect for people with bikes who need a prompt to get back on them, as well as regular riders.

Attendees will need a functioning bicycle, helmet and be comfortable riding in a slow, social group. We’ll mostly be on paths but there will be some riding on roads. Attendees are responsible for their own safety and will be expected to follow road rules. If you aren’t comfortable with this you can meet us at Perth City Farm at 8 am for breakfast and bike maintenance chats.

Please register your attendance here so we can manage numbers on the day. Group size is limited.

This event is a collaboration between Perth City Farm and the East Perth Community Group. It's part of City Farm's Community Education Hub project, kindly supported by the City of Perth and Lotterywest.
