The afternoon session will include presentations by:
- Rowan Smith (TIA): Rowan will present findings from the MLA/TIA joint funded ‘Growing red meat productivity through the selection and establishment of perennial legumes’ project. This will also include a paddock walk of irrigated and dryland mixed pastures.
- Robin Tait (R.J Tait Consulting) will discuss her observations of a diverse species forage crop grown under irrigation.
- Gordon Refshauge (NSW DPI): A livestock research scientist specialising in animal reproduction, Gordon will present on lamb weaning management and transitioning weaner lambs onto legume dominant pastures. Gordon will also include a short session on feed test interpretation.
The presentations will be followed by a BBQ to conclude the afternoon and allow the opportunity for further discussions.
BE ON SITE AND WIN - one lucky farmer will receive a free pasture sampling and feed test analysis provided by TIA
