Meet our panelists:

➡️ Sarah Gilliand - Sarah is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian who has worked in the eating disorder sector across both public and private settings, including the Queensland Eating Disorder Inpatient Service & the Melbourne Clinic Eating Disorders Day Program. She is passionate about helping her clients to establish a more peaceful and positive relationship with food, weight, body and self.

➡️ Gemma de Leo - Gemma is a registered nurse currently working in the paediatric eating disorder field. She also works as a Telehealth Nurse, Peer Mentor and a Stories of Recovery Ambassador at EDV. After recovering from her own struggle with an eating disorder, she is deeply passionate about helping others navigate recovery and empowering them to embark on living the fulfilling life they deserve.

➡️ Ming - Ming is an EDV Stories of Recovery Ambassador. She has recovered from anorexia nervosa, and currently works for an aged care company, helping the organisation adopt new technologies and systems. She says:

"I'm sharing my story because awareness, education and conversations about mental health and eating disorders are thankfully on the rise, but these messages are still largely in English or delivered by someone with an Anglo-background. We have a significant multicultural population in Australia who could benefit from more awareness and education about these topics, so that those from ethnic backgrounds suffering from this condition or their carers don't miss out on getting the right support they need to get better."
