Easy Peasy Macrame Pot Plant Hanger with Maria
Event description
Macrame is an ancient art used in Arab countries to weave fabrics, create decorations and so much more. With a few simple knots you can create stunning (and very useful) designs.
Come and learn the macrame basics while we make a hanging basket for your pot plants! Beyond the attractive and structural knots, you can add further decorations by adding beads and some simple fringing.
If you don't finish your project in class, you'll go home with enough macrame cord and knowledge to complete it yourself.
What will we cover?
In this class you will learn:
- How to start with macrame: cutting rope, what materials are best to use
- How to do square knots and Lark's head knot
- How to add beads amongst knots
- Special considerations, and other insider tips and tricks
Accessibility
- Wheelchair Accessible Venue
- Gender Neutral Bathrooms
- Free Tickets to First Nation Attendees
