Garage 35 Art Studio invites you to eat, meet, and create with other artists and creatives in the south-east!

EAT dinner together from 6PM

We'll be serving up some delicious food from a range of local businesses in Noble Park, catering to all dietary requirements.

MEET each other through some fun activities at 7PM

In small groups, you'll be tasked with a short challenge to find out what you have in common. The activity will be facilitated by resident artist, Aysha Tufa, and should be pretty relaxed. It's also totally optional and it's perfectly fine to opt out of this section and enjoy some solitude drawing if you prefer to observe!

CREATE art with a photography scavenger hunt from 7:30PM - 8:30PM

Resident Artist and award-winning photographer, Zia Atahi, will provide a ten minute demonstration and outline the rules of the scavenger hunt. You will then have twenty minutes to capture photos of specific things in and around Garage 35 Art Studio using your smart-phone. Submit your photos to us at the end to be printed and exhibited at the MAD Festival on Saturday 14 October at Memorial Hall, Dandenong!

We will also have a communal painting available for anyone who wants to get creative

What to expect

EAT: The delicious lunch will be buffet style with halal and vegetarian options. Please let us know extra dietary requirements in the booking registration.

MEET: We welcome both new and familiar friends to come to this event! Don't be shy to come alone because there will be may friendly creative people to meet.

CREATE: All experience welcome and arts materials will be provided. The activities will be drop-in style so you can choose your own adventure. Please be mindful that this is an active studio space and so we remind you to use the materials provided and not touch any other equipment to keep everyone safe.

Dress comfortably! The venue is inside with limited heating so please wear clothes that would keep you comfortable in the outdoors.

Wheelchair access is from the Buckleys lane entrance. There are some mechanics in this laneway so to ensure a safe and comfortable entry, please call Gen on 0422 641 147 upon arrival.

Can't come? Let us know if you register and then have to cancel your ticket. There is a limit of 35 people at the event and we'd like to cater appropriately :)

Getting to Garage 35 Art Studio - 35F Buckleys Lane

Public Transport

Take the Pakenham or Cranbourne line to Noble Park station. It's a 3 minute walk, following the yellow line on the picture below!

Driving

Enter the carpark next to Chemist Warehouse (Noble Park) from Leonard Avenue. This is a 4 hour carpark without tickets.

The main entrance is from the carpark behind Chemist Warehouse. Alternatively, you can enter from the laneway off Buckleys Lane!
