Description

Lotus Blooms & Crush Dance Bar DC are back to offer you the next in a series of sexy yet educational events! We're hosting Eating Out: Oral Sex for Vulvas. Each ticket gives you access to the class and a free drink!

Join Lotus Blooms Sex Educator Jay as they address all these common concerns! Jay will talk you through the anatomy of pleasure to help all parties get a-head (ahem) of these worries and get down to business.

When people talk about why cunnilingus (oral pleasure for vulvas) can be such an incredible experience, the same words come up again and again: powerful, connective, exciting, affirming, and deeply pleasurable. Many describe feeling more present in their bodies & experiencing a sense of trust that allows them to let go of inhibitions and move closer to orgasm. And yet, alongside all that potential pleasure, plenty of questions and insecurities show up too.

We’ll talk openly about the most common concerns that both givers and receivers quietly worry about,  including

  • How to give or ask for feedback without hurting someone’s ego

  • Getting out of your own head and staying present

  • Tongue and touch technique ideas and ways to vary sensation

  • Concerns about taste, smell, or feeling self-conscious

  • Managing jaw or tongue fatigue

  • Navigating differences in arousal timing or worries about “taking too long”

  • Noise, vulnerability, and letting yourself enjoy the moment

  • How dental dams work and how to use them comfortably

If you’ve ever wondered “Am I doing this right?” -you’re not alone. This workshop is designed to take the mystery, pressure, and guesswork out of oral play while building confidence, communication skills, and practical techniques you can actually use. Together, we’ll normalize common worries, explore what pleasure can look like across different bodies and preferences, and focus on connection over performance.

We’ll talk about how to build intensity, how to give and receive feedback in ways that add to the eroticism, and how to incorporate techniques and toys that help turn okay oral into amazing oral. Treat yourself and your lover to a confidence boost and a skill building evening. This class will help you understand how your headspace impacts your experience of oral - both giving and receiving - and how to work with your brain rather than against it!

Meet your Educator!

Jay Sheffield (they/he) is an educator at Lotus Blooms who is passionate about helping visitors make informed decisions and feel more connected to their bodies and desires. Previously, Jay worked as a DC-licensed massage therapist practicing consent-based bodywork, with a sliding scale prioritizing QTBIPOC. Jay loves dancing, eating, traveling, and spending time with their cats, the ocean, and their loved ones.

What to expect from this workshop:

This is an educational and experiential class, but it is not a sexual class. Folks will have the opportunity to touch toys & lubes. The focus of the content will be on learning about anatomy, pleasure, techniques, toys, and other tools! Participants will be able to opt in and out of any exercises or offerings.

Who is this workshop for:

For folks interested in how to make giving and/or getting oral sex on a vulva a better experience!

You may attend solo or bring your partner, triad, date, or friend! Our workshops are not play spaces, nor are they meetups. If you are looking for local groups that host such events, we are happy to recommend them!
