ECCQ Members Meeting - Mental Wellbeing
Event description
Mental Health Week takes place in Queensland every October, and our October Members Meeting at ECCQ is all about Mental Wellbeing.
During our March Members Meetings, we talked about five emerging issues multicultural communities in QLD face. These included mental health and wellbeing, youth engagement/disengagement, intergenerational conflict, family and domestic violence, and difficulty understanding Australia's laws and legal system (including child protection and domestic violence).
With your feedback, we focused on mental health as the leading issue to be addressed.
At this meeting, we will share with you the work we've been doing, and we also have an exciting line up of speakers who will speak about their work in the mental health space.
We know that all our members and communities are working hard and making differences, and we want to hear from you. Share with us during the open mic what you are doing for your own mental wellbeing, and the mental wellbeing of those around you and in the community.
This event is scheduled for 5:30PM for a 6PM start.
