Event description

Nangana Landcare Network is putting on a series of FREE workshops-

‘The Echoes of the Land’, over the next few months at 3 separate locations, to be held on Wurundjeri Country — rich in cultural and ecological knowledge.

  • Selby Community House: 23rd August, 9am-1pm

  • Monbulk Living & Learning Centre: 31st August, 1-5pm

  • Memo. Healesville: 4th October, 1-5pm

These workshops invite you to join other community members to listen to the stories of the land where we live… and to tell your own.

The first of these workshops series is to be held at Selby Community House, on the traditional lands of the Wurundjeri people and nestled in the Dandenong Ranges, is a place of deep connection between people and nature. Echoes of the Land brings people together to reflect on place, memory, and the legacy we hope to plant for future generations.

Through story circles, creative expression, and shared reflection, we’ll explore:

  • The emotional and ecological stories we carry

  • What it means to belong to a place

  • Hopes we hold for the land and our communities

Activities include memory mapping, story sharing, writing a postcard to the next generation — creating space for personal insight and collective vision.
This is an invitation to speak, listen, and imagine your hopes for the future.

Morning tea provided.
