Event description

Living and breathing all that is heralded when speaking on Australian dance culture, cultivating and carving some of the most otherworldly soundscapes in the country for over a decade, heavily deified and increasingly mythologised, the name ‘Moopie’ sparks as much recognition across Australia’s bush parties as it does indoors, reflecting the carefully and quietly earned status of Beijing born Matthew Xue as a cultural landmark.

Meticulous in his artistry, Moopie exemplifies as much innovation through his work as ‘A Colourful Storm’ label head as he does in his own performance, constantly expressing the value of space, salience, and thematic sound - in the eyes of many he remains a definitive referencing point for the symbiosis between artist and sound system.

Joining Moopie is Eora stalwart Merph, Naarm up & comer Rino plus the fast rising Miss Behave.

Level One see's a fine selection of Eora locals, Lex Barlin, Bouki, Lily, Mash, Half Cut & Rendezvous.
