Eco-Friendly Preaching: Crafting and Delivering Non-Disposable Sermons

How often does this happen to us: by Wednesday afternoon we can’t remember the sermon that was preached just three days ago. Sometimes even by those of us who preached! All too often, our sermons are like single use plastic bags: preached once and discarded, never to be remembered again. But this need not be the case.

Over the course of two consecutive workshops, Rev'd Dr. Joe McGarry will lead conversation, help develop skills, and provide resources to strengthen the ministry of proclamation throughout our churches. These workshops will address why we preach, how we do it, and what preachers (and preaching teams!) can do to ensure the Body of Christ is consistently served and nourished by non-disposable sermons. Come join our Eco-Friendly preachers and learn how to lead sustainable preaching ministries in your church.
